A year, and even a decade are coming to an end… and this is also a time to look back. We will just come back here on a few noticeable fashion events, the ones that made us smile, cry, that touched us or filled us with wonder…
Couture genius Alexander Mc Queen’s death, of course, is one of them…

The success of the Pop Up stores, with this new Chanel one in Courchevel…
The “Balmania”, or French Couture house Balmain this year’s indisputable success story…

Couture’s democratization, with the successful collaboration of luxury houses with retail chains, like the amazing Lanvin collection for H&M…

Or Denis Gagnon’s show at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the first Canadian fashion designer to have his exhibition in a museum…
To be followed…
Here are some exclusive pictures of British designer’s new designs for sportswear’s brand Adidas. Among the new models: an outwear line named “Weekender”, inspired by summer vacation and long walks in the countryside… – and “yoga inspired” underwear. We fell in love with these very chic rain boots and the dual purpose “blanket cape”.

As expected with regard to March fashion shows, we will all wear a touch of fur this winter: a bag, a hat, a scarf, gloves… preferably made of recycled fur. The specialist is Montreal brand Harricana. Her designer Mariouche Gagné has become the queen of fur recycling. A nice philosophy we particular appreciate: Chic-ethic but never fake.

A “protean artist”, this is how Fred Sathal likes calling herself when you meet her. She loves talking about her long time experimentations around clothes, going from Haute-Couture shows to artistic installations and stage costumes. As a witness, this book, where “there is no way I will reveal my dyeing technics”, artist says, one of the best kept secret in the world. Waiting for her next Couture show in Paris in January 2011, enjoy this photo shoot of her clothes by Guillaume Alcaraz.

For a few weeks, we have been projecting in our store movies from video artist and director Guillaume Alcaraz, who has beautifully interpreted our slogan “Protect your Image”. Come and discover his latest film, an invitation to travel taking us from Paris, to London, through New York and Tokyo. A very nice parallel between cities and fashion, evoking luxury, glamour and trends, beyond borders.
