Surprising for sure are these nest looking woven ash tree huts, at the brand new Hermès store on the Paris left bank. Their function is to create intimacy for customers while magnifying the product. A little revolution! Let’s not forget the luxury house will be attending the International Furniture Fair in Milan in 2011, with an architectural installation and a surprise guest designer… To be followed…

To celebrate the brand’s anniversary, Jimmy Choo’s founder and artistic director Tamara Mellon, has just launched a jewelled shoes mini-collection. You have “Marine”, this pair of embroidered sandals, with crystal winding around the ankle, or this other pair of Plexiglas sandals, very precious design pieces Hollywood stars are already pouncing on… just like trendy American singer Kate Perry who has already bought them all…

Here are some exclusive pictures of British designer’s new designs for sportswear’s brand Adidas. Among the new models: an outwear line named “Weekender”, inspired by summer vacation and long walks in the countryside… – and “yoga inspired” underwear. We fell in love with these very chic rain boots and the dual purpose “blanket cape”.

As expected with regard to March fashion shows, we will all wear a touch of fur this winter: a bag, a hat, a scarf, gloves… preferably made of recycled fur. The specialist is Montreal brand Harricana. Her designer Mariouche Gagné has become the queen of fur recycling. A nice philosophy we particular appreciate: Chic-ethic but never fake.

First spotted by Karl Lagerfeld, Freja Beha Erichsen is definitely the new top-model to watch. Tom Ford, Max Mara and Moncler also succumbed to her charm. This tattooed, chain smoker, rock n’ roll Danish girl belies all the classic beauty clichés, just as famous Irina Lazareanu, Lanvin for H&M’s muse, also propelled by Chanel’s designer. We wish Freja the same career!

« The best dermabrasion in the world is at Gee-Beauty’s » says fashion high-priest Jeanne Beker. No way we would not test it… so we did and we tried the famous “Ultimate Oxygen”, an hour and 15 minutes of pure pleasure. The result? A fresh smooth skin, soft and rosy… Yes! Enough to make all your neighbourhood’s teenage girls green with envy!

And the winner is…

…Kristan Horton, the Ontarian photographer, and his Dr. Strangelove Dr. Strangelove, who had already shown a series of more than 40 photographs at the York University art gallery, with a book of 200 diptychs in 2007. A magnificent work by this brilliant protean artist, working with sculpture, drawing, photography and video… For its third edition and for the first time, the public could vote for the award. Thank you to the Art Gallery of Ontario for this great inspiration.

We had the privilege, last evening, to be part of the few guests to a preview of Lanvin designer Albert Elbaz’s first collection for H&M at the AGO. We literally succumbed to this very couture collection, very Albert Elbaz. How could you not love these asymmetric, draped, mini bustier dresses… A real girl’s dream, like these fantasy t-shirts to brighten up our winter. Last but not least, the boxes and wrapping are just as delicate as in a luxury store. “Lanvin for H&M” is from far away one of the most accomplished collaboration of these past years!

Enough of these costumes and Halloween masks, you will say… but these ones, we could wear them every day of the year! These amazing pieces of jewellery were for some of them made especially for the exhibition, and others lent by other artists to sublimate Myles Mindham’s stunning designs. No surprise that Myles’ leitmotiv is: “achieve beauty through the execution of intricate details in unique forms”. A sentence to meditate on…
